During a search conducted by a team hired by former President Donald Trump's lawyers, two documents with classified markings were found in a Florida storage unit, according to a person familiar with the situation.

The FBI was notified of the discovery of the documents. A search of four Trump properties revealed that no other documents with classified markings were found.

CNN previously reported exclusively that Trump's legal team is considering allowing federal agents to conduct a second search at Mar-a-Lago in order to satisfy Justice's demands that sensitive government documents be returned.

This matter has been addressed in court proceedings this fall, in which the Justice Department requested a judge to order the Trump team to conduct an additional search.
