Engineers Created Multi-Legged Robots That Mimic the Behavior of Ants

Robots that act like ants. Robotics engineers at the University of Notre Dame have created multi-footed robots capable of cooperative behavior in complex environments. This modern robots can successfully navigate rugged terrain and get to difficult places. Engineers have printed robot ant parts using 3D printing The size of the robots reaches 20 centimeters. The small four-legged constructions can communicate with each other and solve problems together. The parts of the device were printed using a 3D printer. The designers equipped the mechanical insects with a lithium polymer battery, a microprocessor, magnetic touch sensors on the front and back, and a light sensor on the front. Each device has four flexible legs that help it navigate over difficult surfaces. According to the scientists, the robots on the legs are able to move in difficult conditions, including hard-to-reach places. The limbs are used to effectively support the body. The author of the paper is engineer and professor

What would happen to humans if the Earth stopped spinning?

On the equator, the Earth is spinning at its fastest speed, which is about 1,000 miles per hour. If its motion suddenly stops, its momentum will cause it to rush eastward. As the rocks and oceans move, earthquakes and tsunamis occur. The still atmosphere would wash away the landscape. What If Earth’s Rotation Suddenly Stopped! But don't worry. Such an event would require the same amount of energy to be stored in the momentum of everything on the spinning earth. The Earth rotates around its axis once every 23 hours, 56 minutes, and 4.09053 seconds. This means that the land at the equator is moving at about 1,100 miles per hour (1,770 km/h) and the rotation of the poles drops to zero.  If the planet were to come to a sudden stop, the angular momentum transferred to air, water, and even rock along the equator would continue to move at 1,100 miles per hour.  This movement would wash over the surface, tearing it apart and sending debris into the upper regions of the atmosphere and oute

Study Shows Vitamin B12 May Be Key to Protecting the Brain Against Alzheimer's Disease

One more example of how food has an effect on our entire body Alzheimer's is a progressive, neurodegenerative disease: this means that it causes deterioration in the brain that progresses over time. The damage inflicted by Alzheimer's disease causes certain cognitive functions related to memory to diminish; but also some that affect emotions or personality, thus affecting behavior. Because of its characteristics, this disease is classified as dementia, and although it is not the only one there is, it is the most prevalent: among people suffering from dementia, about 60% is caused by Alzheimer's disease . It usually occurs in people over 65, but this does not mean that it is a feature of aging, and there are cases where it occurs in younger adults. Although we have more and more information about Alzheimer's, there is still a lot to know about it, especially to find treatments that can cure it or at least halt its progression. UAE unveils plans to visit seven asteroids in new interplanetary mission, to be launched in 2028.

The United Arab Emirates has announced plans to explore Venus and land on an asteroid within the next 10 years, following its first mission to Mars. The UAE’s Hope Probe. This 3.6 billion kilometer journey is seven times longer than the UAE's Hope Probe. The probe will land between Mars and Jupiter to collect data on the origin of the universe. About 1.1 million asteroids have been identified orbiting the solar system. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced plans for an asteroid mission that will visit seven asteroids in 2028. This will be the UAE's second interplanetary mission initiative: the first UAE Mars mission arrived on Mars in February this year and began official science operations on May 23. According to Space.com, EMM launched an orbiter called "Hope" to the red planet in July 2020. Our goal is clear: to accelerate the growth of innovative and knowledge-based companies in the UAE, said Sarah Al Amiri, chairman of the UAE Space Agency. Pursue goals To
