Only two cities in Germany are free of new infections - Cologne is a new danger zone. New infectious diseases are on the rise in Germany. Many cities are exceeding their limits, especially in North Rhine-Westphalia, Berlin, and Lower Saxony. An overview of the current German hotspots.

On Saturday, the number of new coronavirus infections in Germany rose again to 4,000. According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), German health authorities reported 4,721 new coronavirus infections in one day.
The number of cases rose again compared to Friday (4,516).
From Wednesday to Thursday, the number jumped from 2,828 to 4,058. But the maximum number of infections has not yet been reached since spring.
There were no new infections in the two regions of Thuringia.
One thing is sure, however, that the spread of corona is increasing in Germany. In seven days on Saturday, 23 regions exceeded the limit of 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants. That's nearly three times the number of cases from a week ago.
With two exceptions, Eisenach and the district of Hildburghausen (both in Thuringia) had no new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days.
The situation in Berlin remains tense.
The intense corona situation in Berlin remained focused on the hard-hit areas of Friedrich Kreuzberg (55.3 *), Tempelhof-Schöneberg (67.3 *), and Mitts (90.9 *) in particular.
Neukölln recorded a significant increase (133.9 *). About 350 people and 48 infected people attended weddings in September, with four other large weddings added to the total. Regional spokesman Christian Berg revealed, "We can no longer keep up because of many infections. We're two days late."
*RKI said the incident lasted seven days.
Health Commissioner Falko Riecke (CDU) also complained about the lack of capacity, saying that "60-70 employees of the supervisory office are already walking around 24 hours a day. The supervisory office is checking restaurants and green spaces. Still, we cannot be everywhere for four years in the ambulance zone alone".
This Saturday night, a curfew should be in effect in the capital. All internal and external contact should be strictly prohibited. At the same time, Berlin Chancellor Michael Müller (SPD) has not ruled out further restrictions. We can assess not only the number of infections but also the ability to test for them.
North Rhine-Westphalia: red warning levels in the areas of Herne, Remscheid, and Wuppertal - an explosion of value in Neukölln
The corona count in North Rhine-Westphalia has also risen sharply in recent days. For hams, the RKI now shows an important incidence of 64.5 per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days. In Remscheid (51.2), Maar (52.3), Wuppertal (55.2), and Herne (66.5), the incidence rate is more than 50 points.
On Saturday morning, the city of Cologne also gave the metropolis 54.8 worth of corona pandemic. The RKI gave the metropolis 54.8 on Saturday, which exceeded the critical warning level of 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days. Cologne's municipality was hoping to break this threshold and has already ordered more restrictions on public life as of this Saturday.
According to the Cologne Regional Health Center, the 50 points for new infections in March and April have already been exceeded twice - the indicators were not so crucial at that time.
Other Northwest cities are also in the 50th percentile.
Other cities and regions in North Rhine-Westphalia have also exceeded the first limit for new infections. Gelsenkirchen (48.9), Bochum (38.0), Essen (47.4), Duisburg (43.7), Leverkusen (42.1), Düsseldorf (44.5), Mettmann (41.0), Solingen (47.7), Rhein-Erft-Kreis (38.9), Unna In Kreis (40.8) the 7-day incidence rate (new cases per 100,000 inhabitants) was higher than the limit of 35. Thus, the so-called corona brakes, which are effective nationally, have been effective in these cities.
The brakes stipulate that if the number of incidents in a week exceeds 35, up to 50 people can attend an informal celebration outside the apartment, instead of 150. Infected municipalities must also coordinate with specific other protective measures to match the infection with higher authorities.
Nursing home infections in Bechta are on the rise - Kloppenburg has crossed the tipping point.
The Kloppenburg region of Lower Saxony is also currently above the 80.3 limits of 50. Corona infections have skyrocketed since the outbreak of corona at the Emstek slaughterhouse in Lower Saxony. The region announced Thursday night that 7,000 pigs a day could now be slaughtered at the affected slaughterhouse. Before the outbreak, there were 12,000.
The Wesermarsch district (56.4) also cut through the critical corona limit of 50 new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days. In Bremen, the Senate will impose more restrictions on Monday, just as the number of infections falls. For example, a curfew for restaurants and a ban on alcoholic beverages will be introduced. There were 56.2 new infections per 100,000 residents over the seven days on Saturday.
Mayor Andreas Pobenschulte (SPD) said: "We still have a very high rate of infection and very high nationwide in terms of morbidity. "We must do everything in our power to control the infection." That's why everyone is calling it "urgent" to comply with the new regulations.
Hotspots in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and Hesse
In Bavaria, the city of Rosenheim is a hotspot for corona. The number of cases per 100,000 population in the last seven days was 67.7, which is higher than the Fürstenfeldbruch district (51.1) and Memmingen's independent city (54.4). The situation in Munich also remains difficult (47.7).
In the Esslingen district of Baden-Württemberg (56.3), the incidence rate has also increased significantly. The use of masks is now compulsory daily in pedestrian areas and weekly publications. Stuttgart (41.2) is approaching the limit.
Offenbach is now below the limit of 50 (39.6).
