On board a cruise ship in Japan, 10 people with pneumonia caused by the 2019-nCoV virus were identified.

According to the decision of the authorities, the ship with almost four thousand people on board, including 24 Russians, will be quarantined for two weeks in the coastal waters of Yokohama.
The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare reported on Wednesday that 10 people were diagnosed with pneumonia caused by the new coronavirus. According to the authorities, they may have caught it from a passenger from Hong Kong.
According to the carrier company, an 80-year-old man who arrived in Japan by plane was aboard the Diamond Princess from January 20 to 25. When he was already in Hong Kong, he was found to have a coronavirus.
Authorities report that all passengers on the liner who were found to have the virus were hospitalized in Kanagawa Prefecture.
The airliner operator Diamond Princess reports on its website that three Japanese, three Chinese, two Australian and one U.S. and one Filipino (crew member) each were hospitalized with a confirmed diagnosis.
According to the Japanese TV channel NHK, four people aged 50 to 60 became ill, another four aged 60 to 70, one over 70 and one over 80. None of them are in serious condition, the channel said.
A total of 2,666 passengers and 1,045 crew members were on board the Diamond Princess, according to the cruise company. About half of them are Japanese nationals, but there are also nationals from 56 other countries on board.
According to the Russian Embassy in Japan, 24 Russian citizens are on board the quarantined vessel.
"The Japanese Foreign Ministry informed the Embassy that 24 Russian citizens are on board the cruise ship.
The embassy is in close contact with the Japanese Foreign Ministry and the Japanese Ministry of Health on this issue, and [we] keep the situation under control," TASS diplomatic mission was quoted as saying.

The cruise liner operator stresses that the quarantined passengers will be provided with everything they need - food, free internet and telephone services.

Earlier in Japan, 20 cases of infection with coronavirus 2019-nCoV have already been identified.At the same time, 17 people who were found to have the infection visited the Chinese city of Wuhan, where the epidemic began.
